The countdown has begun 30 days until hurricane season. What do you need to know to be prepared and what can Adjusterman do for you? #hurricaneready #hurricanepreparedness #noaa #fema

Hurricane season begins June 1 and ends November 1, historically it is not unlikely that a storm occurs sooner than the anticipated date. Subtropical storm Alberto arrived last year on May 19th in Panama City, FL now considered to be the third most intense May storm on record. Tropical storm Beryl also creeped up on us on May 26, 2012 and is considered the strongest off- season Atlantic storm to hit the United states. Tropical storm Anna arrived May 9th of 2015 as a subtropical storm and increasing before final landfall in South Carolina. November 1st 2015 we ended hurricane season only to be shuttled right back into on January 12th when it started in the Bahamas as an extratropical storm only to evolve into a Category 1 hurricane on January 14th, 2016. Tropical Storm Bonnie followed on May 27, 2016 as a low pressure system in the Bahamas intensifying into a Tropical Storm before it made landfall as a depression on May 29th in South Carolina and hugged the coast for 2 days before strengthening back to a Tropical Storm for North Carolina. As we head into April 1 on Monday I want to note Tropical Storm Arlene that formed April 19, 2017 over Bermuda and intensified. As you can see, Florida has a recent extensive history of early storms, last year being no exception. When will Andrea form this year? Will you be ready?

There are always several factors involved into predicting what a storm season will be like, this year as we've experienced a long winter the #noaa states that "weak El Nino conditions are likely to continue through the Northern Hemisphere spring 2019 (~80% chance) and summer (~60% chance)." The last time these conditions were in play during 2015 Tropical Storm Anna arrived May 9th and ended with 11 named storms, 4 hurricanes, and 2 major storms ending post season on November 11th. The strongest storm being Category 4 Hurricane Joaquin with significant damage to the Bahamas before heading towards Portugal before ending the season with Hurricane Kate. What is El Nino and what does that mean for preparations?

Usually known as #elnino the El Niño–Southern Oscillation is the warm phase and is associated with a band of warm ocean water that develops in the central and east-central equatorial Pacific, including the area off the Pacific coast of South America. The stronger El Nino is the more hurricanes in quantity, severity, and from pre to post season their will be. Four days ago (3/25) Tropical Storm Iba formed off the coast of Brazil which is a very rare occurrence, if this is any indication of how warm the waters really are we may be in store for a very active season and one of which preparations should begin as soon as possible.

Adjusterman is offering a Hurricane Preparedness Package (good for any pre claim proof on your residence or business) for Florida that includes; policy review & storage, roof drone imaging, and 3D VR Matterport images of the contents and current condition in your home or businesses with floorpan. An emergency access letter granting us access to your home or business in the event that you're property is in an evacuation zone or just blocked from public access. This also gives you priority loss investigation. After Hurricane Michael it was clear how under insured the residents and business owners were in the Panhandle. If you are under insured do not wait until storm season starts to up your policy limits. Take inventory. A hurricane can knock out full portions of your home or business and a carrier can claim it never existed. With this package you're protected from frivolous denials with proof.

Be ready. Know if you live in an evacuation zone. We can asses the vulnerability of your property to storm surge, flooding, and wind. Policies do not include flood insurance; FEMA offers a map of area hazards. Floridians love their #hurricaneparties but have a plan.

Thousands are still displaced after Hurricane Michael, Hurricane Irma claims are still open from 2017. Every year we laugh at the meme of an overturned patio chair. Have your supplies kit filled and organized, if you do live in an evacuation zone be sure to have communication plans in place or alternative routes if you leave early. Hurricane Irma originally wasn't supposed to touch down in Orlando.

Adjusterman can check your Marine policy to be sure your boat is covered in all aspects. If you're using a dock or port to shelter your maritime equipment be sure they have sufficient space and coverage. The NOAA has great tips on tracking the storm and it's effects on your yacht or charter.

It is very common for Hurricanes to develop tornados and water spouts.

After a large storm residents return home and business owners return to various severities of damage and are usually overwhelmed by the damage and what the recovery process is. The insurance carrier may underpay, determine your damage is equal to an exhorbedant deductible, or denies the claim in hopes that you don't know how to fight back and recover what you're owed. The insurance carriers adjuster often aren't licensed from the state and come in as independent adjusters from neighboring states to handle the large influx of claims. Are they climbing in your attic? Are they just taking photos of the damage? Adjusterman is on your side. Returning home should be approached with precaution as downed powerlines and damage to the home or buisness can result in injury, call us before you call your carrier so we can document your claim as soon as possible and so you can start having everything cleaned up, touch as little to none of the damage as possible except in the case of necessity to keep the property from further damage.

In a State of Emergency Public Adjusters are capped at a 10% contingency fee on damages not including the deductible. Let Adjusterman help you prepare before for an easier after.

This offer is FREE for a limited time.
